1.Introduction

This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how Grimy KFT uses cookies and similar technologies on the Atlantheos platform available at https://atlantheos.com/ and related web-based game services, pages, accounts, payment flows, market functions, and support features operated by us (the “Platform”).

This Policy explains what cookies are, what the Platform actually uses today, which categories of cookies may be used in future, and how you can manage your choices.

3.What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies allow the Platform to recognise your device, remember settings, maintain your session, improve security, support technical operation, and measure how the Platform is used.

Similar technologies may include browser local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, device identifiers, software development kits, and server logs. Where these technologies serve a similar purpose to cookies, we treat them consistently with this Policy.

Cookies may be placed by us (“first-party cookies”) or by third-party providers whose services are used on the Platform (“third-party cookies”).

4.What Atlantheos Uses Today

We think it is more useful to tell you what the Platform actually does than to list every technology it might one day use. As at the date of this Policy:

We use strictly necessary storage only. The game keeps your login session and your saved progress in your own browser's local storage, so that you stay signed in and your clan is still there when you come back.
We do not use analytics cookies. There is no analytics or measurement tool running on the Platform.
We do not use advertising or targeting cookies, and we do not track you across other websites or services.
There is no cookie consent banner, because there are currently no optional cookies to consent to. If we introduce any, a consent mechanism will be introduced with them and this Policy will be updated first.

The remaining sections describe the standard categories, so that you know what would apply if that changes.

5.Categories of Cookies

(a) Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage

These are required for the Platform to operate. They support essential functions such as account login, authentication, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, payment flow support, and basic game functionality.

Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent, because the Platform cannot function properly without them. You can block them through your browser settings, but parts of the Platform will stop working — in particular, you may be unable to stay signed in or to keep your progress.

Examples of strictly necessary purposes include:

keeping you signed in to your Atlantheos account;
maintaining your game session and saved progress;
protecting accounts from unauthorised access;
supporting secure checkout, purchase and payout flows;
remembering interface state such as which hints you have already been shown, and whether you switched the background music off on this site;
detecting technical misuse, bots, fraud, or security risks.

(b) Analytics and Measurement Cookies

Analytics cookies help a service understand how users interact with it — pages visited, session duration, traffic sources, browser type, device type, technical errors, and interaction patterns.

Atlantheos does not currently use any analytics cookies. If we introduce them, they will be optional and used only where permitted by law and, where required, after your consent.

(c) Functionality and Preference Cookies

Functionality technologies remember choices you make, such as language, interface settings, display preferences, or gameplay interface settings.

Some preference storage is strictly necessary where it is required to provide a service you requested. Others are optional and may require consent.

(d) Targeting and Advertising Cookies

Targeting and advertising cookies may be used to measure advertising campaigns, limit repeated ads, understand campaign performance, and show promotional content that may be more relevant to users. They may track activity across websites or services.

Atlantheos does not use targeting or advertising cookies, and no advertising partner places cookies through the Platform. If that ever changes, such cookies will be optional and used only where permitted by law and, where required, after your consent.

6.Managing Your Preferences

Because the Platform currently runs no optional cookies, there is nothing to switch off in a consent tool. You remain in control through your browser.

Please note that clearing site data for Atlantheos in your browser will sign you out. Your account and your progress are also stored on our servers, so signing in again restores them.

7.Cookies and Personal Data

Some cookies and similar technologies may involve the processing of personal data, such as IP address, device identifiers, browser information, session data, gameplay activity, or account activity.

Where cookies involve personal data, we process such data in accordance with our Data Protection and Privacy Policy, the GDPR, applicable Hungarian data protection law, and other applicable requirements.

We do not sell your personal data.

8.Third-Party Cookies

Some technologies may be set by third-party providers whose services the Platform relies on, including hosting and database providers, payment processors, fraud prevention providers, email delivery providers, and security providers. These are used to run the service, not to advertise to you.

Third-party providers may process data under their own policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy and cookie notices where relevant.

Optional third-party cookies are used only where permitted by law and, where required, after consent.

9.How Long Cookies Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and browser storage remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them manually — which is what keeps you signed in between visits.

We aim to configure these so that they last only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose. Optional cookies, if introduced, will not be retained longer than necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

10.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in cookies, Platform features, service providers, or legal requirements. The current version will be available on the Platform. Material changes may be notified through the Platform or by email where appropriate.

In particular, if we begin using analytics or advertising cookies, this Policy will be updated before they are switched on, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
